part of a superior race

on the 23rd of february i had another chance to see an amazing show.  last year i was able to see imogen heap with some amazing girls and so it was only fitting that this year i do it again, but this time the i went with one other guy (john anderson) and then a few other girl friends.  this year the entertain-tress was sia furler.  you might have heard her distinct voice with her work from zero 7.  she also has some solo stuff under the name of sia.  one of her most well known songs is called breathe me.
but, sia was amazing.  she was funny and interacted a lot with the crowd and told us stories behind songs and everything.  she was disappointed, however,  that the venue didn't allow her to have alcohol on stage with her.  she spoke her mind a ittle and then at the end came a declaration about the people there at the venue.  to paraphrase sia: i believe that anyone who can be entertained sober is part of a superior race.

so just in case you missed the show, here is the set list from her performance on the 23rd at the avalon theatre in salt lake city.
